Baking with Nova Chocolate

Nova Chocolate is a sugar free artisan dark chocolate brand. Below is a recipe featuring their delicious baking chocolate chips which are sugar free, vegan and diabetic friendly! All Nova chocolate is sugar-free, gluten-free, dairy free and vegan-friendly, made of the best quality ingredients.

Let’s make a


300g almond flour
1/2 cup xylitol
1 tbsp baking powder
1 cup Nova Baking Chocolate
1 cup flaked almonds
4 tbsp psyllium husk
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups almond milk
1 tbsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup coconut oil

Cream together the coconut oil (make sure it is soft but not melted), vanilla and the xylitol. Add in the almond milk and mix – make sure the almond milk is room temperature and not cold as this will affect the coconut oil. Add in all the dry ingredients and mix well. The mixture will be sticky but not runny as the low carb ingredients absorb moisture better than regular flour. Spoon this into a well greased loaf tin and bake in a preheated oven (180°C) for around 60-75 minutes until brown on top. The cake may seem a bit soft, but you need to cool it fully in the loaf tin. This will give the cake time to set. Once cool, melt some more chocolate chips, drizzle this on top and add more flaked almonds.
