Bread & Butter Pudding Featuring FutureLife® High Protein Bread

FUTURELIFE® HIGH PROTEIN HONEY AND OATS BROWN BREAD

This vegan-friendly Low GI bread combines whole oat grains with the goodness of our NON-GMO ingredients, scientifically formulated to be High in Protein and Fibre. With a touch of honey flavour, this bread is wholesome and delicious.

Ingredients:

8 slices FutureLife® High Protein Honey and Oats Brown Bread
50g vegan butter
100g sultanas & raisins
200g vegan custard
1 cup plant-based milk
1 tbsp cinnamon
50g dark brown sugar
Extra splash plant-based milk, if needed

Method:

Remove the crusts from your bread and cut diagonally in half. Spread each slice with a thick layer of butter. Arrange a layer of bread, in the bottom of your desired dish, then add the sultanas & raisins. Set this to one side. In a medium pot, bring the milk, custard and cinnamon to a boil. Once boiling, remove from the heat and pour over the bread. Add the sugar on top making sure to spread it out evenly. Let this set in the fridge for 20 minutes. Add some more plant-based milk to ensure all the bread is covered. Bake in a preheated oven (180*C) for around 30-40 minutes.
