Marble Cake

When you can’t decide if you want a chocolate cake or a vanilla cake – MAKE BOTH! Not going to lie, I love a marble cake! Especially when coated in dark chocolate.
This cake is decadent, moist, sweet, and oh so delicious! Give it a try!
Vanilla Cake:
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup dairy free milk
Chocolate Cake:
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup cacao
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup dairy free milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- 1/3 cup strong black coffee
Method:
Mix all dry ingredients together – in a large mixing bowl. Mix wet ingredients together – in another mixing bowl. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Make sure everything is well combined but do not over mix. Do this for both the chocolate & vanilla cake mix.
Spoon the mixture into desired greased baking tray, do a spoon of vanilla and then a spoon of chocolate and repeat until all the batter has been used. Bake for around 50 minutes in a pre-heated oven (180*C), or until a knife comes out clean. Once the cake has cooled, cover in melted chocolate.
