Vegan Milk Tart

There is no better treat than a milk tart – for when you are nostalgic, for when you want something creamy and sweet, or just for a treat! This milk tart is creamy, dreamy, sweet, delish and VEGAN – all the best things!
Crust Ingredients:
- 160g plain biscuit of choice
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 75g vegan butter
Crust Method:
Crush the biscuits until fine crumbs form. Mix in the coconut sugar until combined well with the biscuit crumbs. Add in the 75g softened butter and form a crust for the milk tart.

Filling Ingredients:
- 400g vegan condensed milk
- 400ml plant-based milk
- 30g vegan butter
- 2 heaped tbsp flour
- 3 heaped tbsp maziena
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
Filling Method:
Add the condensed milk, plant-based milk, butter, flour and vanilla essence to a small pot. Let this come to the boil. Once boiling, turn down the heat and let this simmer for around 5 minutes. Sieve in the maziena and stir well. Let this simmer for around 10 minutes until it starts to thicken. Make sure it has thickened nicely before turning off the heat and letting it cool for a few minutes before use.
Pour this mixture over the biscuit base. Add all the cinnamon on top. A nice thick layer. Chill in the fridge for a few hours or overnight to let this set well.
